One by one tested is printed on the box because it is what happens to the box. A display is read for dead pixels, touch response and colour before it is sealed, and it is the slowest part of the day.

Cells are taken to destruction on purpose.
A nail driven through a charged cell, a crush rig closing on another, a weighted head dropped on a third. A battery that fails these is a battery that would have failed in somebody's pocket, and the point of filming it is that the result is not a claim on a datasheet.
